Welding in new sections
This is a customers car that came in last week with extensive corrosion. The drain points on the rear had virtually rotted away and whilst the arches looked like a few bubbles of rust they were totally shot once the grinder had taken the surface off. It’s not just a case of welding on the arches as they need something behind them to reinforce the wheel arch, so you need to build up the back where it has rotted away. We make all our sections in house and the new drain hole buckets are fabricated by our welder..we call him “Paul De Velder” and he is a real artist when it comes to fabrication and welding.
This is the first side almost complete just some finishing grinding and a few more welds before going to the bodyshop. Hope you all like the photos and feel free to share or comment.
